And the look is not just the crazy look of Vibrams but ugly crazy - like grandma knitted them herself. They were expensive and the material is hot and doesn't breathe well. I got the women's pink and so the stars are for the pretty pink stripes across the top that distract your attention from the ugly, ugly toes. The other star is for the fact that as a whole-foot shoe, they would adequately keep out rocks and debris if running outside in nature or hiking. I am not impressed - Vibrams run laps around these.

I put it to the test-- outside for hours in the rain and I was dry and comfortable. I bought a small, but it was large enough to wear over my jeans. Having a pocket was nice. Great price.
